Shannon Brooks is a multisensory, multimedia artist. Their practice is iterative, takes time and shifts form to research an idea, feeling, or question – often using movement, performance, sound, sculpture, video/film, social practices. Shannon plays with the range of our senses to investigate relationships between ecology, disability, systems of power, and material and immaterial worlds. As a Disabled/low-vision person, Shannon understands accessibility as a creative force and experiments with decentralizing sight in their practice - reaching into what we cannot see.
